• form•Z Modeler is the version which contains the classic form•Z 3D form synthesizer modeling environment. Simple color shading is supported.

form·Z is a general purpose 3D modeler, which combines surface and solids modeling, and includes drafting and rendering, all in a single integrated package. Its users come from all design fields, including illustrators, animators, movie makers, special effects designers, architects, urban designers, landscape architects, interior designers, product and industrial designers, engineers, and even attorneys and doctors.

form·Z offers an extensive set of 2D/3D form manipulating and sculpting tools that are accessed through a highly interactive interface. These tools make it possible to easily create any form, real or imagined.
With about thirty continuously updated import/export formats, form·Z has traditionally been recommended as the modeling complement to many rendering and animation programs on all platforms.

• form•Z RenderZone Plus The all inclusive and highest level of built-in rendering form·Z offers. New features in the rendering engine represent a major evolutionary step in global illumination (GI). GI is now supported by different techniques, including final gather, ambient occlusion, and improved radiosity.

RenderZone offers seven levels of rendering that include z-buffer and raytracing. It uses state of the art shader technology, and offers both procedural and precaptured textures mapped on objects through five different methods. It offers smooth shading and highlights, multiple lights of three different types that can even glow, both hard and soft shadows, cubic and spherical environment mapping, accurate reflections and transparencies, backgrounds and depth effects, decals, and many other rendering effects that are produced at impressive speeds.

RadioZity represents the most photorealistic and accurate method for simulating light, especially for interiors. A special version of form·Z, it incorporates all of the features found in form·Z RenderZone plus the LightWorks radiosity library. A direct format translator to LightScape, a stand alone radiosity application, is also provided.
