CAD Garage Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

CAD Garage, an on-line provider of hardware and software solutions for the design community and Mac enthusiasts, celebrates its 10th anniversary this November.
CAD Garage (http://www.CADgarage.com) was established in November of 1997 during the early days of e-commerce by Boston-based Integrated CADD Services (ICS). In the beginning (when it bore the name ICS online CAD and Graphics store), CAD Garage offered architects ArchiCAD training materials and a limited array of hardware and software. Today CAD Garage offers close to 700 items, all hand selected for architects and Mac enthusiasts.
“We didn’t see much business at first,” explains Greg Conyngham, president of CAD Garage “but once we moved over to a Yahoo store platform our customer base broadened. Then a few years back we made the conscious decision to make CAD Garage a self-sustaining business model. That put the impetus on ICS to dedicate more resources to its sucess. Since then the e-commerce site has become hugely successful.”
